A contributing writer for Geography at About.com, Samantha began writing on this site as a Spring 2015 geography intern.
Samantha is currently a senior at Texas A&M University where
she is majoring in Environmental Geoscience
with a concentration in
Coastal and Marine sciences. She is being thoroughly educated in areas
such as geography, geoscience, oceanography, and climate change. She
plans to graduate in December of 2015 and hopes to pursue a career in
environmental sciences.

In addition to her interests in the environment, Samantha is also
passionate about art and music. She practices charcoal drawing, piano
and guitar, and has Spotify playing at every possible moment. In the
summer, she coaches tennis at Texas A&M Tennis Camp. Samantha has
also worked in a Geoscience laboratory facility through Texas A&M
and has participated in fieldwork on the Gulf Coast.

we are a part of. Humans are deeply entrenched in the environment and I
believe education helps us to make decisions that promote a healthy
